Baby Bonus Calculator (Singapore)
This calculator estimates the total government support for your child — the Baby Bonus Cash Gift plus the CDA First Step Grant and co-matching — from the birth order and how much you plan to save. It uses the official MSF amounts for births from 18 February 2025.

- Baby Bonus Cash GiftS$11,000

How it is calculated
The estimate has three official parts, for a Singapore Citizen child born on or after 18 February 2025 (MSF):
- Cash Gift — a fixed amount by birth order (S$11,000 for the 1st and 2nd child, S$13,000 from the 3rd), paid in instalments from birth to age 6.5.
- CDA First Step Grant — credited automatically when you open the CDA: S$5,000 for the 1st and 2nd child, S$10,000 from the 3rd under the Large Family Scheme.
- Government co-matching — for every dollar you deposit in the CDA, the government adds a dollar, up to a cap that rises with birth order (S$4,000, S$7,000, S$9,000, then S$15,000 for the 5th and subsequent).
Total government support = Cash Gift + First Step Grant + co-matching actually unlocked by your savings. If you save at least the cap, you unlock the full match.
A worked example (illustrative)
A second child whose parents plan to save S$7,000 in the CDA:
- Cash Gift: S$11,000
- First Step Grant: S$5,000
- Co-matching: S$7,000 (the full cap, because they save at least S$7,000)
- Total government support: S$23,000, with about S$19,000 sitting in the CDA (S$5,000 grant + S$7,000 own savings + S$7,000 match).
This example is illustrative.
Limits of this estimate
- It shows government support, not your own savings as a cost — the co-matching requires you to deposit your own money first.
- It assumes a Singapore Citizen child born on or after 18 February 2025; earlier birth dates use different rules.
- It does not model CDA interest, bank perks, or the SG Child Support Package announced at the 2026 National Day Rally, which is set to replace the Baby Bonus and Large Families schemes.
